I am always on the lookout for new management methods that can be applied to I.T. I believe that some of the traditional ways in which we manage I.T., as well as some of the more modern ways in which we manage I.T., tend to hurt us more than it tends to help us. This is some of what I explore in this blog.
Given we work in an industry that is built on cause and effect, shouldn’t our management methods mirror this? Cause and Effect Thinking forms the basis of the content on this site. I believe that cause-and-effect logic is a powerful medium as it allows others to challenge your thinking and provide you with insight not previously considered. This broadens your knowledge base and makes you a more effective manager.
I hope this site provides you with many of the ‘aha’ moments I had when exploring and learning about how to manage I.T. better.
